The 10 inch 110th Anniversary PB 55 is five-way jointed and made from dark brown, slightly curly mohair. Whereas the original PB55 had a sealing wax nose, the Anniversary Edition's nose is hand-stitched. The birth of this gorgeous bear began with an amazing mohair sample supplied by Steiff Schulte in early 2011. This swatch had a subtle vintage-colored, light tan backing with a pale, ice-white tipped long pile. It was immediately quite clear that Steiff had to create a Teddy bear using this superb fabric, but the challenge came in finding the right character to pay tribute to this exceptional color. 12 inch Millie has all the hallmarks of an antique bear. Her mohair has a vintage feel. There are a few skipped stitches on the nose where the mohair shows through, simulating wear.
