Jane Monroe creates high-quality, small limited edition Teddy bears and kitties using the traditional techniques of master toymakers. Each is her own original design and has a delightful vintage look with a folk-art influence. She chooses the finest quality materials such as the mohair that she hand-dyes herself for the perfect color. Jane gives each creation a waxed pearl cotton nose, felt-backed handpainted eyes and stuffs them with excelsior filling and poly-pellets for a nice weighted feel. Jane's Teddy bears have been featured in many magazines since she began C. Riffenberg & Co. in 1982 including Teddy Bear Review and Teddy Bear & Friends. She has won both TOBY Industry and TOBY People's Choice awards for her excellent creations.
